This project was about increasing the capacity of the TSI unit to deliver projects responsive to Pacific communities. Dickie was contracted to co-create a workshop design structure with a unit manager and staff member.
The project involved the following over two staff development days,
-
Half day sail on a double hulled ocean voyaging waka in the Waitemata Habour to explore the history of Pacific origins.
-
Half day workshop at a Pacific Church in Ponsonby to explore the modern migration story of Pacific peoples.
-
Full day workshop at Pacific community centre in South Auckland to engage with the present day Pacific story.
